/24-7PressRelease/ - RALEIGH, NC, June 27, 2008 - The Eastern North Carolina Chapter 105 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has received high honors in IREM's Chapter Star Recognition Program. The Chapter was recently recognized for achieving Five Star Status at this year's Leadership and Legislative Summit held in Washington, DC.
IREM Chapter 105, which serves the greater Raleigh and Durham area, was recognized for a variety of initiatives it undertook in 2007, while under the leadership of Chapter Immediate Past President, Crystal Hall, CPM. The Chapter Star Recognition Program recognizes IREM chapters for providing valuable member services and programs. The program awards points for specific activities based on criteria that define effective, successful chapters; some activities are required, others are elective. Then, based on total points earned, chapters can achieve Three, Four, or Five Star Status. Last year, the Chapter was awarded Four Star Status.
IREM Chapter 105 President, Cliff Hamner, CPM, said that his Chapter's recent achievement is a direct result of his association's efforts as a group.
"We wouldn't have been able to go from Four Star Status to Five Star Status in just one year were it not for the hard work and commitment of our Board, our volunteers, and our members," says Hamner. "Under Crystal's [Hall] leadership, our Chapter has made incredible strides in such a short period of time. I'm truly fortunate to be working alongside so many dedicated professionals and look forward to continuing to make our local IREM Chapter a respected organization with our own association and within the industry."
