eCare21 is Seeking Crowdfunding support in the American Heart Association Open Innovation Challenge

eCare21 sets out to improve cardiovascular health of Americans through remote monitoring of wellness and activity and by building a support network.

PRINCETON, NJ, March 27, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- eCare21, an early stage health technology company, has just released a new crowdfunding campaign, on the crowdfunding platform Medstartr, as an American Heart Association (AHA) Open Innovation Challenge finalist for health technology innovation. The challenge seeks new innovative tools to prevent or manage heart disease and stroke that will aid in the AHA's mission to improve health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by the year 2020. eCare21 has until April 15th to raise money to spend on furthering development of their solution. The top three projects will be invited to pitch their ideas to the American Heart Innovation Forum. The AHA will back the winning company with additional funds in support of their 2020 mission.

The project is now up on Medstartr for everyone to see and be a part of. This campaign is showcasing the project in a unique way. The backers are able to get an inside look at how this idea came to realization and become part of the conversation on its future. Anyone who has a passion for technology pairing with health and wellness will be interested to see how this works.

The crowdfunding process will allow eCare21 to create a community of like-minded individuals who are interested to collaborate with the founders and bring the solution to market through sponsorship and partnership. The goal of this campaign is to reach those who share the vision of an ecosystem built to provide real time remote healthcare monitoring and to facilitate emotional security through creation of a caregiving support network. The founders believe this ecosystem will provide positive outcomes for those at risk.

"We're really excited to be launching our campaign with the AHA because their mission is in line with ours and crowdfunding allows the community to become part of our combined mission", said Julie O'Hara, Chief Marketing Officer of eCare21. "We're confident that these efforts will bring to people something they know was missing, but didn't have a way to solve. You can contribute just $25 to become part of the solution and we'll additionally be giving back our big thanks and rewards to each contributor". All contributions are tax-deductible.
