/24-7PressRelease.com/ - Edmonton, AB, Canada (November 25, 2004) - Cheryl Kaye Tardif, a BC-born Edmonton author, has been touted as the new "Canadian J.D. Robb"! She is the author of Divine Intervention -- the first in a "scorching" psi-fi suspense thriller series that has been compared numerous times to the 'In Death' series by J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts.

Divine Intervention, which was released in July 2004, is a novel about a group of psychic government investigators and their hunt for a serial arsonist.

Divine Intervention has received rave reviews from Tardif's fans. "A futuristic CSI", as one fan puts it. "Hotter than a Florida heat wave!" says another. "Cheryl Kaye Tardif's hot futuristic thriller, Divine Intervention, radiates suspense and mystery", states Louisiana's award-winning author Jimmy Fox. Writer Kelly Christian says, "Divine Intervention will undeniably leave you smoldering?and dying for more."

Tardif's latest novel is purely Canadian, with locales such as Victoria, Penticton, Kelowna and Vancouver, adding to its Canadian flavor. Tardif has organized her Divine Book Tour 2004, a 3-month booksigning event that will include McNally Robinson, Chapters, Coles, Smithbooks and Indigo bookstores in Edmonton, Calgary and Victoria.

Cheryl Kaye Tardif is a professional full-time author/writer whose first novel, Whale Song, is being considered by a leading film producer. Whale Song is Tardif's "baby", the novel that has "made grown men cry" and reduced all ages to tears. "A wise, enchanting story" states The Edmonton Examiner.

Tardif is currently working on a techno-thriller, The River, and an anthology for teen girls is also in the works. Divine Justice, the second in the Divine series, is expected to be on the shelves sometime in 2005.

Cheryl Kaye Tardif's novels are available in most Chapters, Coles, Smithbooks and Indigo stores in Victoria, BC and Edmonton, AB; Greenwoods in Edmonton, AB and McNally Robinson in Calgary, AB. Divine Intervention and Whale Song can be purchased online through Trafford.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.com, and BarnesandNoble.com. Whale Song is also available as an e-book at Powells.com.
