Edmonton Dentist and Dental Team Ride to Fund Research For Juvenile Diabetes

    EDMONTON, AB, December 25, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Most dentists dedicate their lives to fixing and preserving smiles. It's no surprise, but some go above and beyond to help others, outside of the practice. Drs. Cindy Neufeld and Bella Andler's, Edmonton dentists, and their dental team are actively involved in many fundraisers and awareness foundations. One close to Apple Dental Care's heart is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

What is JDRF? It's the global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. This organization has made a great impact on the research of T1D, and it's their mission to help improve the lives of people who are diagnosed with T1D. With many dedicated supporters and team members working together, JDRF has become the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. Among those supporters, Apple Dental Care continues to spread T1D awareness. One of JDRF's main events is JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes.

Apple Dental Care participated in this ride in hopes of raising money for T1D research. Participants were able to be involved in team building celebrations, safety seminars and planned rides.

"We loved riding to support T1D research. It was a great opportunity to meet to with coworkers outside of the practice. TID research is continuing to make great strides, and we hope more positive results will show in the future. Diabetes truly affects all aspects of the body, especially the oral health. Our support for JDRF shows we can accomplish anything as a team," exclaims Dr. Neufeld, dentist in Edmonton.
