EDP Renewables North America Renews License with Dingo's Trakka Software

Dingo, a leader in Asset Wellness, announced today that EDP Renewables North America has issued Dingo an order for a license of Trakka, Dingo's cloud-based predictive analytical and workflow maintenance management software.

This order from EDPR represents Dingo's continued growth in the wind energy sector by working with one of the major wind park owner operators with a mixed OEM fleet.

    DENVER, CO, January 29, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dingo, a company a company focused on Asset Wellness has received a three-year software license extension from EDP Renewables North America, a leading, global renewable energy company, for Trakka, Dingo's cloud-based predictive analytical and workflow maintenance management software. This license includes the Trakka Core Data Analysis and the Condition Intelligence Modules.

Headquartered in Houston, EDPR North America maintains offices and wind farms across North America. EDPR NA currently operates over 3,800 MW with 29 wind farms in the U.S. and Canada and is devoted to value creation, innovation and sustainability.

With continued growth in the Wind Industry, wind farms owners and operators are increasingly turning to condition monitoring for better reliability. Given the operating conditions a wind turbine experiences over the course of its life span, catastrophic breakdowns are not a question of "if", but "when." These unplanned maintenance disasters are marked by high costs and lost production. An online condition monitoring system, like Dingo's Trakka software, can serve as an effective tool for managing day-to-day maintenance practices, and for tracking and better planning of costly maintenance activities.

Trakka will continue to provide EDPR with many tangible benefits, including the following:
- Storage of data across all operations, located at different and remote sites;
- Maintenance procedures and decisions impacted by the data and based on condition;
- Reduction of costs as a result of managing gearbox and hydraulic lube changes; and
- Reduction in unplanned maintenance and/or breakdowns.

Dingo Sales Manager, Kurt Kramer said of this renewal, "Dingo's relationship with EDPR has been an important part of our strategic expansion into the energy markets. It is with great pleasure we announce this renewal. We are thrilled with the results EDPR has realized thus far, and look forward to continued success with the Dingo Asset Wellness programs."
