/24-7PressRelease/ - June 23, 2006 - No wonder, outsourcing is spreading to other segments besides IT, software, customer service, data management and so on. New trend of outsourcing is well noticed in education industry. Now, overseas students are assigning their jobs to Indian educational scholars, mostly from Britain, to get it done on time.

Here students who are willing to outsource the job, visit certain websites and leave their assignments and invite bids from professionals ready to take up their assignments to complete them in agreed time-frame and fees. Mostly IT students are giving their assignments to Indian scholars who are well-qualified and experienced. Students are also benefited of cheaper labor cost due to ever-rising competition among Indian IT professionals.

A recent survey on outsourcing educational projects shows that students who are outsourcing their IT related jobs are mostly those who are either not competent in preparing assignments on their own or who are lazy and can afford to outsource. They are mainly outsourcing IT jobs to Indian IT professionals who have either individually created their own outsourcing websites or formed a group.

Though outsourcing educational jobs is on rise, however, many institutions are raising their eyebrows. "This growing trend of outsourcing educational jobs is casting the shadow on the talent of the students' creative and hardworking skills," Allen Thomas, a professor in IT department of a reputed UK based university, said. "We have recently investigated the matter, and found that UK students are posting their jobs regularly on outsourcing sites and many Indian, Far east and Eastern European countries are responding by way of bidding. Jobs normally involve of writing programs or small codes. This bidding depends upon the cost of hourly job and time required for execution," he explained.

"We have also gone through outsourcing jobs and noticed that our students are frequent customers for those sites. They are posting out our IT jobs exactly assigned to them, getting it done in short time and presenting it back to us," he informed.

It has also revealed that not only British, students of US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand are also reported to be involved in outsourcing their IT jobs.

Globalization has posed many challenges for higher education. Outsourcing is perhaps another best way to keep you ahead of the competition as far as higher education is concerned.
