/24-7PressRelease/ -- EduKick England BWFC IA football academy congratulates October Player of the Month: Arsen Khyrkhryan, a 15-year-old student athlete from Moscow, Russia, playing right full back on the Edukick team. Arsen scored a goal in EduKick England's 2-0 victory over the men's fire service team.
"Arsen has shown an excellent attitude towards training and developing his game over the last month," said Michael Brennan, the director of EduKick England BWFC IA football academy. "His willingness to learn along with his tireless work rate has seen his performances on the training pitch constantly improve."
Arsen's efforts and understanding of his role showed up brilliantly in his performance against Xavarian College this month, landing him the Man of the Match award.
With one victory under their belt, the EduKick England BWFC IA football academy boys are improving on the pitch. But how are they doing off the pitch?
James Ward, the assistant director of sport and the course leader for the football academy, had some very positive things to say about the boys.
"The lads have settled into the course extremely well," Ward said. "They have already formed a great bond with each other, which is pleasing to see. They have picked up the English football banter very quickly and seem to love the English football mentality.
"Obviously the lads who speak a small amount of English struggled in the first few days, but now that bonds and friendships have been made, they get stuck in with the football banter around the table, dressing room, and on the pitch. It's funny how quickly they pick up the local slang dialect and other words!"
Ward and the rest of the EduKick football academy team are already looking forward to the next game on the schedule, and Ward is overall pleased with the boys this year, both on the pitch and off.
"The lads have been great," Ward said. "They have shown a great attitude and desire to learn. If they keep up their hard work and stick together, I have no doubts that it will be a successful year."
