/24-7PressRelease/ -- April Mescher, Vice President of Travel for Excellence In Motivation, graduated last week from Leadership Dayton, a program of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. The year-long program met once a month for a full day of workshops on hot topics affecting the Dayton area. According to Mescher, "It was a truly amazing experience - not only did I learn a great deal about our community, I made friends I will have for a lifetime. This program has really helped me focus on what my community and career efforts will be over the next three years."
Leadership Dayton is a premier leadership development program designed to identify, educate and motivate a network of community leaders and increase the individual's capacity to serve the Dayton region. Selected participants learn through seminars, small work groups, panel discussions, direct interaction with community leaders, and a variety of experiential activities. Leadership Dayton is the fourth oldest continuously operating community leadership program in the United States.
April Mescher was also recently named Generation Dayton professional of the month for June. In addition to her Leadership Dayton and Generation Dayton activities, Mescher is a member of the Hospitality Management Advisory Council at Sinclair Community College. She volunteers for the Special Olympics, Clothes That Work, Humane Society and the YWCA, and has recently been appointed to the A Kid Again board.
