El Camino Hospital CEO Lee Domanico Joins Sensitron’s Advisory Board

“Lee will be a great addition to Sensitron’s Advisory Board. With his extensive experience in implementing technology in healthcare environments, he can help guide us in our mission to improve healthcare through the use of wireless technology solutions,” said Rajiv Jaluria, president and CEO of Sensitron. “The other Advisory Board members and I welcome Lee and look forward to working closely with him.”
Domanico has spent the last four of his 25 years in healthcare at El Camino Hospital (ECH), a 411-bed non-profit facility. Prior to ECH, Domanico was senior vice president of Tenet HealthSystem Corp.’s Pennsylvania Region. He also held executive positions for a number of other hospitals and health systems, including Alexian Brothers hospitals in San Jose and Chicago, Delta Memorial Hospital in Antioch, CA, USC University Hospital, and Tenet’s 11 hospital system in Los Angeles and the four-hospital Columbus-Cabrini Health System in Chicago.
Domanico is the founder of three healthcare companies in ambulatory services and residential care. He is a frequent speaker and author on strategic planning and public health policy.
He has received a number of commendations for his work, including 1999 Philadelphia Business Leader of the Year and a CEO Circle of Excellence Award from Tenet. He has been a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 1985. He also served on the Illinois governor’s Task Force on Health Care Reform.

Domanico earned an M.S. in industrial engineering from Stanford University and graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in industrial engineering in 1974.
While at ECH, Domanico has orchestrated plans for an innovative and technology-rich hospital with programs designed to personalize the patient experience. ECH is also one of several hospitals that have deployed Sensitron’s careTrends™ Wireless Bridge system to improve patient safety while saving money and making ECH more efficient.
