ST. GEORGE, UT, May 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- LearnKey, a global provider of self-paced online training, today announced "Certify for Life," a new program that provides free education for qualifying U.S. veterans. Certify for Life is available to veterans who participate in Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VR&E), Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) and VOW to Hire Heroes programs offered through the Veterans Administration.
LearnKey's Certify for Life program enables veterans who complete the initial training certification programs through VA-sponsored programs to receive additional training courseware, at no charge, in order to maintain their certifications free for the rest of their life.
"This is a great program with tremendous value to Veterans who would typically either pay out of pocket for future classes or return to the VA and reopen their case to have the VA pay for it," says Jeff Coruccini, LearnKey's CEO. "This is our way of helping veterans get the skills, valued certifications and training they need for better jobs or re-entering the workforce upon returning from duty."
With Certify for Life, after the initial training has been purchased, any updates to that course will be made available free of charge to veterans who qualify. Additionally, LearnKey has created a dedicated Veteran Service team to mentor veterans while they are going through the online training for veterans, to help them achieve valuable certifications.
"We are here to help them along the way, whether they need help with their courses or just need a friend to talk to." says Veteran Service team member and veteran Lance Corporal Kip Harris. "As a veteran myself, I understand the confusing world of benefits. We help Vets sort out their options and get them the applicable certifications they need."
Veterans who receive help via LearnKey Veteran Service's team have demonstrating a 98% exam pass rate on their first attempt. One-on-one mentoring, education coaching, workforce readiness training, and relevant, in-demand programs make up LearnKey's Veterans program offerings.
"I would definitely recommend this program to other veterans" says Sgt. Christopher LeJeune, who has taken LearnKey courses and successfully attained security and forensics certifications.
IT Certifications are a promising career track for veterans outlined in a recent (January 2012) payscale.com article that validated veterans posses strong technical abilities compared to the average worker. With its industry-leading IT video-based training programs, LearnKey's courseware is an ideal learning solution for veterans.
LearnKey is proud to support the nation's military by providing them with the tools they need to succeed. To learn more about this program visit www.veterans.learnkey.com.
