/24-7PressRelease/ - CHICAGO, IL, July 31, 2008 - How many times have you looked in the mirror and silently cursed at the resilient, unsightly hairs that will not go away despite your best efforts to annihilate them forever? At Face Reflections, Liz Stapleton offers her clients a permanent solution through electrolysis.
"Electrolysis is much more than the permanent removal of unwanted hair," said Stapleton, who is a Licensed and Certified Professional Electrologist. "We're in the business of helping people feel more confident about their appearance," she said.
At FaceReflections, the latest and most up-to-date technology is used for the electrolysis process, and Stapleton has remained current on the newest advances by editing Electrology World, the professional magazine of the American Electrology Association. In addition to being a CPE, Stapleton is certified to teach electrolysis and is the Vice President of the Electrology Association of Illinois.
There is a myriad of methods to deal with the problem of removing facial hair - anything from tweezing to creams to painful hot wax - but electrolysis still remains the only method the FDA will allow the term "permanent hair removal." All other methods and modalities, including laser hair removal, are still considered temporary.
Stapleton strives to satisfy her clients and feels as though she has a higher calling to help improve their self-esteems by this type of hair removal.
In addition to performing electrolysis for clients, Stapleton intends to start a school for electrolysis training in the Chicago area. "The biggest challenge facing our profession is the lack of professional training available locally," Stapleton said. "It's such a great profession, and I'm very confident that a school in the area would attract more people to it."
Stapleton also hopes she can staunch the misinformation about hair removal. "Hair removal is a multi-billion dollar business and because of misleading and blatantly false claims, people invest huge amounts of money in pursuit of getting rid of unwanted hair and often make the problem worse by choosing the wrong method.
