Elisabeth Meijs, CEO Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Direct Marketing

Though Ms. Meijs absolutely loves her work in direct marketing, she admits that she fell into the field by accident. "I developed a love for the business," she shares, "and proceeded to work my way up through the ranks in a short amount of time." So much, in fact, that as of January 1, 2012, she was appointed the chief executive officer position at Riverside Structured Insurance B.V. She brings to the role her expertise in insurance direct marketing and her experience doing business in more than 30 countries, working predominately throughout the Americas, the EMEA region, South Korea and Japan.

Ms. Meijs utilizes her skills in project implementation, operations and business solutions to oversee all aspects of the company, which provides direct marketing services for insurance companies. Since the company's inception, it has proven its ability to design and implement programs that successfully increase new business value. She previously worked in multiple roles for ReMark International B.V., a global provider of direct insurance distribution solutions. She joined the company in 1995 as a project manager for the UK, South Africa and Mexico. She went on to assume the positions of director of operations for EMEA, business manager of ReMark South Africa, marketing director for EMEA and Japan, and professional development manager, consecutively. Along the way, Ms. Meijs cultivated her ability to implement and manage efficient and effective business operations. She also honed her proficiencies in business case development, implementation of data analysis for improved ROI, operational staff management, recruitment and training.

Ms. Meijs remains current in her field through affiliation with a number of professional organizations, including the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing, Direct Marketing Association, and Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association.
