Ms. Blair has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fine arts industry

Ms. Blair has been making artistic vases, bowls, tiles, plates and bottles for over 50 years in the traditional styles of crystalline and raku pottery.

LAWRENCE, KS, October 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ellary Ann Blair with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Blair celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Blair has been making artistic vases, bowls, tiles, plates and bottles for over 50 years in the traditional styles of crystalline and raku pottery. After retiring from a 30-year nursery career, she has dedicated her time to developing her passion into a business as owner of Ellie Pots Inc. With increased internet availability and unprecedented opportunity for exposure, Ms. Blair is able to offer both extraordinary pieces and pottery services nationwide.

Ms. Blair has succeeded at her craft through hard work and self-motivation, especially when it comes to learning. She earned a BFA in Design from the University of Kansas in 2002, and recently worked with world-class potter Fara Shinbo to learn new methods of etching crystalline glazes with muriatic acid, lemon juice, and vinegar, as well as methods of using an alcoholic reduction crystalline fire. Ms. Blair has been potting since 1974, developing her unique technique while she was in school using crystalline glazes. Combining zinc with silica results in a crisp, scintillating finish, augmented by other elements for various end results of color and glass finish. Ms. Blair's art is frequently on display at The Phoenix Gallery in Lawrence, KS, and she gives workshops on pottery as well.

Though Ms. Blair's pieces are available for sale, they have also been recognized by ceramics institutions, and she is a member of the National Education of the Ceramic Art (NECA), the American Ceramic Society, The Potters Council, and formerly the Local Artists and Potters Guild. Ms. Blair was selected to be the 2012 Selected Artist at the Orton Cone Box Show with NECA, and was honored as a 2005 Upcoming New Artist by Lattice Structures Symposium.

Ms. Blair was recently invited to San Paolo, Brazil, to attend a special pottery workshop, and has worked with renowned crystalline potters Ted Secombe from Australia. She hopes to increase the recognition she receives for her work, and maintains pages on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=ellie%20pots%20inc. Ms. Blair's pottery can also be viewed on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/ElliePotsInc?ref=search_shop_redirect) and her own websites on http://www.elliepotsinc.com and http://www.ellieblair.com. Ms. Blair devotes her free time to local charitable organizations, and is now a proud member of the Marquis Who's Who community.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ms. Blair has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
