Elsie Ritzenhein Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Educational Leadership Administration

41-Year Education Veteran, President and CEO of Generative Leadership Initiative



    SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI, December 14, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elsie Ritzenhein, President and Chief Executive Officer of Generative Leadership Initiative, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of educational leadership administration.

An author, speaker and strategist, Ms. Ritzenhein has 41 years of professional experience and specializes in implementing strategies and processes for leadership and change in education. In addition to overseeing all facets of Creative Sources, she is responsible for consulting in areas including curriculum development, arts education, creativity, and integrated-curriculum and instruction. She began her career in public education, collegiate education and community service where she gained extensive experience as a teacher, principal, central office administrator, school board member, and adjunct professor. Ms. Ritzenhein notes that making a difference in the lives of children is the most gratifying aspect of her career and considers directing a nationally recognized program in mathematics and science to be her greatest professional accomplishment. A published author, she wrote 'Generative Leadership: Shaping New Futures for Today's Schools,' along with Karl J. Klimek and Kathryn D. Sullivan.

Ms. Ritzenhein received her educational specialist degree in administration from Wayne State University, her Master of Arts in Teaching from Oakland University and her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Capital University. She is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the National Staff Development Council.
