PLEASANT HILL, OR, September 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Emerald Valley Equine Assistance (EVEA) founder, Sandy Huey, today announced the organization's new website http://www.oregonhorserescue.com. EVEA, based out of Silver Lake, Oregon is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and placement of abused, neglected and unwanted equine.

Emerald Valley Equine Assistance's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and place these animals in new approved homes. EVEA (Oregon Horse Rescue) is a federally recognized 501c3.

Serving the greater State of Oregon, Nevada, Northern California and Southern Washington, EVEA Horse Rescue (Oregon Horse Rescue) has placed over 500 horses, mules, ponies and donkeys into new homes in the last 9 years.

The EVEA website http://www.oregonhorserescue.com has been established to educate the public of the many rescued horses in need of loving and responsible homes. Many of the horses featured on the site are available for immediate adoption pending approval through an application, interview and home visit.

Sadly, others horses under the care of EVEA are not adoptable due to irreversible issues. These horses are in dire need of being sponsored with various levels of donations. Visit http://www.oregonhorserescue.com to donate or sponsor.

"We believe that each and every horse in the right hands has the potential of being an incredible companion," comments Sandy Huey. "Our first priority is matching horses with approved homes. Veterinary references and a home visit are required prior to adoption. All of our horses are adopted out on a "no breeding" contract. We desperately need great homes for the many horses waiting adoption."

Unwanted horses suffer neglect and abuse daily. These poor souls fill the trucks of slaughter buyers shipping these American born horses to Mexico and Canada for slaughter. Stop the madness, stop the breeding.

The ultimate goal of EVEA is to encourage people to stop the over-breeding of horses and help put the horse slaughter plants and horse rescues out of business, one horse at a time.

With the help and generosity of those called to help this dream can be achieved.
