Emily Trueblood Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Art and Printmaking

Ms. Trueblood has exhibited in group shows in New York City, Japan, Switzerland, and Spain



    NEW YORK, NY, March 24, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Emily Trueblood has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Ms. Trueblood is a librarian and printmaker who dedicated much of her career to the creative arts. She served as a librarian and then as chief librarian for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from 1969 to 1995, while simultaneously exhibiting her work in one- and two-person shows at the Old Print Shop in New York City in 2009 and the Old Print Gallery in Washington, D.C. in 2011. Her prints also appeared in group shows at Gallery 71 in New York City in 1996, Michael Ingbar Gallery in New York City in 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2007 and 2009, the Old Print Shop in New York City in 2007, 2009, 2012-2016, at Kanagawa in Japan in 1992 and 1995, the Newark Public Library in New Jersey in 1994, Xylon 13, Winterthur, Switzerland in 1997-2001, III Biennial Internacional de Grabado in Spain in 1995 and 1997, The New York Historical Society in 2001, 2004 and 2005, the International Miniature Art Biennial in Quebec in 2007, the New York Transit Museum in 2003, Hofstra University Museum in 2016, and the Taipei Cultural Center in New York City in 2016. Her work is also represented in the permanent collections of the British Museum, the New York Public Library and the Cleveland Museum of Art. She has been honored with the Purchase Prize from Trenton State College, an art award from the Connecticut Graphic Arts Center, and the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Huntington Bronze Medal for Pastel and Graphics. In addition, she earned a Silver Medal of Honor for Graphics from Audubon Artists, and a Society of America Graphic Artists Award for "Outstanding Commitment and Contribution to the World of Fine Art and Printmaking." Most recently, Ms. Trueblood was selected for inclusion into Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in Finance and Business.

Ms. Trueblood is a member of Audubon Artists, National Association of Women Artists, Society of American Graphic Artists (vice president 2003-2006), the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Salmagundi Club and the National Arts Club.

Ms. Trueblood has been interviewed for articles that appeared in The New York Times, Art Times, Journal of the Print World and Newsday. She enjoys taking part in traveling exhibitions across the country and intends to continue creating art.
