Enid Breakstone Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

MANCHESTER, CT, January 13, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Enid Breakstone, Founder and Executive Director of The Queenie Foundation, Inc. has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of animal welfare.

With more than 18 years of professional experience, Ms. Breakstone established The Queenie Foundation, named after a stray rescued puppy, 12 years ago. Her work involves overseeing various campaigns including promoting spaying/neutering through Susie's Fund, a spay/neuter assistance program for low income families and individuals, promoting a vegan/cruelty-free lifestyle for people, and Compassion for Animals focused at children and adolescents to interrupt the animal abuse/child abuse/adult violent behavior link. Mabel Senderowitz, Ms. Breakstone's grandmother, who was a board member of the Lehigh County Humane Society in Allentown, PA, inspired her to become involved in her profession. A recipient of the Dallas Best for 1997 Award for her program, PAWS for Affection, from Dallas Community Television, Ms. Breakstone attributes her success to her persistence and love for all animals. She is proud that she had the opportunity to co-organize the unveiling of the spay/neuter postage stamp for the U.S. Postal Service in Dallas, TX in 2002.

Ms. Breakstone received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1984. A member of the Defenders of Wildlife, she generously contributes to the International Fund for Animal Welfare and other organizations to promote protection for animals. She intends to further develop the organization and garner international recognition.
