SAN MARCOS, CA, November 06, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Enrolment is now open for Winter Intersession classes at California State University San Marcos. Students can get ahead during winter break with this mix of classroom-based, hybrid, and online programs. These accelerated courses earn CSUSM credit, but are also fully transferable to other academic institutions. Winter Intersession courses are open to students from other accredited colleges and universities, qualified high school seniors, and members of the community, as well as CSUSM students.

With courses ranging from economics and criminology to kinesiology, CSUSM Winter Intersession is an excellent way for college and university students who are on winter break to pick up additional credits. Courses are fully transferable to other academic institutions, and up to 24 units taken as a non-matriculated student can be counted toward a CSUSM degree.

"The fast-paced courses offered during Winter Intersession are a terrific way for students to speed up degree completion," says Mike Schroder, Dean of Extended Learning at CSUSM. "We offer morning, afternoon, or evening classes, so students have the ability to earn credits while still keeping up with work, family, and other interests."

Winter Intersession classroom programs run from January 2 to January 13, 2015. The online-only and hybrid courses (mixing classroom and online learning) run from December 20, 2014 through January 13, 2015.
