HACKENSACK, NJ, September 14, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/
-- As the seasons change, many patients will experience allergies. However, other patients suffer from allergies all year long. To help patient find relief from their symptoms, Dr. Christopher Shaari, an ENT in Hackensack, offers treatment for allergies. While allergies are not curable, there are options available to eliminate or decrease symptoms.
Approximately one out of every five Americans suffers from allergies. Dr. Christopher Shaari works with patients with allergies in Hackensack so that he or she can breathe easy once again. Allergies are abnormal immune system reactions to things that are typically harmless to most people. When a patient is allergic to something, their immune system mistakenly believes that this substance is harmful to their body. Substances that can cause allergic reactions include certain foods, dust, plant pollen, or medicines, which are known as allergens.
"With allergy season at it again, you may only want to curl into a ball and hide from the outside world. While there are many people who suffer from allergies, there are ways to feel better so that you don't have to lock yourself inside. By visiting my office I can work with patients to determine the cause of their allergies and how we can properly manage their symptoms no matter what season it is," said Dr. Christopher Shaari in reference to patients in Hackensack with allergies.
An allergic reaction can be mild, like a runny nose, or they can be severe, like difficulty breathing (Asthma). Other types of allergies produce multiple symptoms, and in rare cases, an allergic reaction can become very severe. This severe instance is referred to as anaphylaxis, which is when you experience difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, swelling of the lips, tongue, and throat or other parts of the body, and dizziness or loss of consciousness. The medicine prescribed by Dr. Shaari will depend on the type and severity of a patient's symptoms, their age, and their overall health.
Dr. Christopher Shaari encourages patients and their children to visit his Hackensack ear, nose and throat office when allergy symptoms arise. By visiting Dr. Shaari will be able to properly diagnose patients and their allergy symptoms. Dr. Shaari has received advanced training and experience to properly diagnose patients' conditions and to prescribe an allergy treatment and management plan to help them feel and live better.
