DEERFIELD, IL, November 08, 2008
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Chad L. Coe, President and Founder of Deerfield-based Coe Financial Group, has announced his candidacy for Mayor of Deerfield. Coe brings a strong platform based in leadership, fiscal responsibility, and development for the Village of Deerfield in Aprils consolidated elections.
Known throughout Deerfield as a successful entrepreneur, dedicated family man, and active philanthropist, Coe's focus is always on the well-being and financial futures of others. "Leadership of our town requires more than financial management—leadership requires a mayor who can build and sustain productive relationships," said Coe. "These are the characteristics that define me—and why I think I can be an effective mayor."
Coe is a graduate of Deerfield High School and his family has lived in Deerfield for eleven years. His children currently attend Deerfield Public Schools. Chad earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois, and has been recognized as a leader and contributor in the field of financial management. The author of The Power of Peopletizing, Coe shares his networking message with audiences—and devotes significant energy to coaching and serving individuals who are in employment transition.
"During these turbulent times," Coe said, "I want to offer my financial and leadership skills to the village I love. Economic development, property taxes, and education are all issues that require our attention. I am a relationship builder and I am confident that I can connect the most talented people to ensure what is best for all the residents of Deerfield."
In addition to his successful financial consulting business, Coe is committed to service in the not-for-profit world. Coe is the Founder and President of Special Kids Network, which raises money for various charitable organizations that service children with special needs, and a Co-Founder of Second Saturday Group that helps women handle divorce with dignity. In addition, Chad serves on the Board of Trustees of Keshet, an educational program for children with disabilities, and is a member of the Founders Board of Directors for Rainbows, an organization that fosters emotional healing for children grieving a loss from a life-altering crisis. Coe also mentors kids in Junior Achievement at Caruso Middle School in Deerfield.
