Entrepreneur with Dynamic Career Background Brings "Phototainment" to Columbus

From medical lab technologist to professional organizer to photo booth franchise owner, Columbus resident, Melanie Dennis, has followed a career path that shows the value of trying something new.

NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, October 01, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- After receiving a BS in Medical Technology and spending 20 years in hospital laboratories analyzing blood, Melanie Dennis wanted a change. Staring into a microscope every day wasn't a good match for her personality, she felt. The search for a work environment that fit with her personality would ultimately lead Melanie to become the proud owner of TapSnap 1164, bringing photo entertainment to events across the Columbus metro area.

Melanie's path from hospital lab to high-energy events was not immediate. In 2004, Melanie started an award-winning professional organizing business called Neat Streak. Developing her expertise over years of experience and continuing education, she eventually became a Certified Professional Organizer. Though her lab background may not have seemed like the launching pad for a career in professional organizing, Melanie's adaptability and work ethic drove her to the upper echelons of her new chosen industry. Melanie has mentored several professional organizers and served on the board of the National Association of Professional Organizers - Ohio Chapter for 10 years. You may have seen Melanie on A&E's Hoarders assisting a local man who had reached out for help.

It's evident from her first career transition that Melanie is always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities. When she discovered TapSnap, a social media photo booth rental and event entertainment franchise with over 160 franchisees, Melanie knew it would be a great fit. Melanie has always been an early adopter of technology, including social media. This, coupled with the flexibility offered by TapSnap, appealed to her as an entrepreneur. Melanie's husband and business partner, Mark, has over 30 years of sales experience in the IT industry. With his experience in the technology sector and his passion for entertaining friends, Mark has the perfect background to support the venture.

"We take great pride in our franchisees, and Melanie is a great example of why, having shown that she can adapt and succeed in so many different careers," says Scott McInnes, CEO of TapSnap. "I'm sure she will apply the skills she's honed in her past careers to become a key player in Columbus' event entertainment industry," McInnes continued.

Melanie, of course, has the same positive outlook on the future of her new venture: "I loved being a laboratory scientist and later a professional organizer, and in both fields, I was organized, analytical, and a problem solver. I was meeting people who needed help or were at a difficult time in their lives. TapSnap puts me at events where I can help people come together, build their brands, or celebrate a momentous occasion in their lives. TapSnap makes people smile."

Whether you're a marketer exhibiting at a trade show in the Greater Columbus Convention Center or a bride planning a wedding in a downtown hotel, Melanie can customize a TapSnap package for any Columbus metro area event. Melanie can be reached at 614-715-7641 or [email protected] for more information.
