This truly will be a 'work' shop."
Attendees at the January 20 workshop can expect hands-on exercises led by several different business professionals and materials presenting them with real world, practical information on the rewards and risks that come with transitioning from employee to being one's own boss. Areas of focus will include managing life, money, perspectives and emotions in addition to understanding business processes and issues such as accounting, legal structures and sales and marketing.
"There are many retirees and people being laid-off in our community who still have that drive to achieve in business, who have the heart of an entrepreneur but may not know how to get started. These are the people we're trying to reach with these workshops," said Greg Fawcett of Marketing Depot USA and the BNC.
More "Out of the Cubicle" workshops are planned in following weeks, with full-day seminars every third Tuesday, and two-to-three hour workshops on a weekly basis in-between.
