/24-7PressRelease/ - ARLINGTON, VA, July 25, 2008 - Young CEOs, an emerging, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting young professionals, executives and entrepreneurs through business networking opportunities, business development programs and community outreach/service facilitation, is hosting their first, unique event, ENVISION, a Young CEOs Movie Watching, Panel Discussion & Professional Networking Event, at the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse located at 2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington, VA 22204 on Thursday, July 24, 2008 beginning at 6:00 p.m. You can learn full details and register at http://www.theyoungceos.org/envision.
The evening begins with a networking reception from six o'clock until seven o'clock, where attendees can get a refreshment and meet and share with other attendees at ENVISION. The hope is for our members and guests to make solid contacts that will lead to business, employment, and social connections. Once everyone is seated at seven o'clock, everyone in the theatre will be given the opportunity to give a 30-second "elevator pitch" to introduce themselves and what they do (or intend on doing).
The movie for the evening begins right after our introductions and is the made-for-television title "Pirates of Silicon Valley," (1999) which details the history of Apple, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation. Young CEOs's president and founder, Raymond Sidney-Smith, believes that the movie "will provide a good deal of conversation for our members for the panel discussion and a view into how entrepreneurship develops into such successful enterprises."
Following the movie, a panel discussion will be held for those who would like to stay around to give their reactions and share their commentary about the movie. On the panel will be Joey Tackett, Principal and Chief Brand Strategist of Clear Sky Creative, a brand strategy and communications firm, Jason Bonnet, President and C.E.O. of Bonnet Development Group, a real estate development firm, and Raymond Sidney-Smith, President and Founder of Young CEOs, Inc., the host for the evening and a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young professionals, executives and entrepreneurs grow and succeed.
To attend ENVISION, you can browse to http://www.theyoungceos.org/envision and register. The registration fee covers movie admission, panel discussion, networking, one wine/beer/non-alcoholic drink, 25% off a one-year membership to Young CEOs at the Young Professionals level, and four free weeks of the Washington Business Journal.
