/24-7PressRelease/ -- E-Port's signature kiosks will provide the public with interactive information about Energy Star products, energy saving tips and connect them with partners, Sears and BC Hydro websites to learn more. The public can view product descriptions and take advantage of discounts on energy saving products such as appliances, CFLs and more.
All kiosks are mounted with thermal printers so that customers can print savings coupons right on the spot in the stores and redeem them immediately for products.
E-Port Interactive Media has provided a specialized projected window-interactive system that allows 'touch-responsiveness' through the retailer's window from the street-side.
Vancouver residents are invited to visit the Sears Robson store at 701 Granville Street where one store window features a life-size, touch screen Cost and Carbon Savings Calculator - the largest of its kind in Canada. Customers can input information about their existing appliances and will immediately be given an estimate of their dollar savings and carbon dioxide savings.
Users are also invited to swipe there hand across the glass and to touch and interact with promotional content.
All displays are powered by E-Port Interactive Media's advanced, touch-screen technology and proprietary software. Interactive features include:
- Taking an energy quiz
- Connecting live with websites
- Printing coupons on the spot
- Sign ups
- Viewing store product lines
- Calculating energy savings
- Sending E-Postcards (an E-Port Signature Feature)
This is a first stage project for the partners, with a view to helping the public learn more about energy saving products and make a connection with not only energy savings but dollar savings as well.
E-Port's Interactive displays will be available for public use and enjoyment throughout the months to come in downtown Vancouver, Metrotown, Langley, Nanaimo and Victoria.
