MIAMI, FL, February 19, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Miami Herald Media Company (MHMC) announced that effective February 17, 2014, Erin Zilis will assume the role of President and Publisher of HCP / Aboard Publishing, MHMC's custom publishing subsidiary.
Zilis brings over 20 years of experience in content marketing, publishing and business development to this new role. She most recently served as VP/Publisher at Freedom Communications in Orange County, CA, where she oversaw all specialty media products, including Coast Magazine, Coast Kids, OrangeCounty.com, two performing arts programs and all digital products for the division. Under Zilis's leadership, Coast Magazine was recognized by the Maggie Awards as "Best Regional & State Consumer Magazine" in 2010 and 2012.
Zilis's experience also includes a long tenure as VP/Custom Media at McMurry, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, and marketing and account management positions at Cadmus Custom Publishing (now The Pohly Company) and Published Image, both in Boston, MA. Zilis has been responsible for launching consumer and B2B content marketing and custom publishing programs for numerous Fortune 500 companies and a wide variety of brands in the travel, hospitality, healthcare and finance sectors. Some of these companies include The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, City of Scottsdale, Massage Envy, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Island Global Yachting, 24 Hour Fitness, Sotheby's, USAA, Fleet Investment Services, Waste Management, Office Max, Oceana, Origins, Kaiser Permanente, Cleveland Clinic and Baylor Health Care Systems.
An industry expert, Zilis has been a guest lecturer and speaker at journalism schools and industry conferences. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Boston College.

In her new role at HCP/Aboard Publishing, Zilis will oversee the publication of the company's in-flight magazines, hotel and destination guides and other custom publications. She will focus on expanding the division's custom publishing client base, as well as developing content marketing and advertising sales programs for the company's print and online publications. Zilis will report to Alexandra Villoch.
