Now that August has arrived, he is fully prepared and excited to unveil his "Off the Wall" project honoring one of his biggest musical inspirations, Michael Jackson. The compilation of songs is a recreated version of the King of Pop's break out album originally released in 1979. August 10, 2009 marks the 30th anniversary of the debut of the original masterpiece. ESSO's LP is set to drop the same day.
The "Off The Wall" listening party is intended for various media representatives and industry executives to become familiar with a new wave of creativity that ESSO, and producer Woody of Woody's Produce and team are ushering in. Those in attendance for the evening of music and artistry will also be treated to the premiere of the video for the first single "Don't Stop", directed by Puma.
For the last month, ESSO has been on a media frenzy. He has been a staple on some of the most influential blogs and websites, which have built a significant buzz for his first two leaked songs from the latest album. ESSO has had an incredible opportunity to make an impact on the national stage courtesy of "The Morning After" with Angela Yee on Sirius Radio's Shade 45. For the next three months, on a weekly basis, the talented emcee will participate in "Gimme A Break." On this segment, the radio staff gives upcoming artists advice on how to better themselves each week and an opportunity to present their records to Shade 45's national audience. ESSO will also be featured in the Show and Prove section of XXL's 12th anniversary issue in September.
