Eugenia Brennan Heslin Honored for Excellence in Legal Services

    HUNTER, NY, August 6, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eugenia Brennan Heslin, Partner in the firm of Kaplan & Brennan PLLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of legal services.

With 27 years of professional experience in the legal industry, Eugenia Brennan Heslin concentrates in matrimonial and family law. She notes that an innate interest in law inspired her to become involved in her profession, and attributes her success to the support she receives from her colleagues. Actively involved in her community, Ms. Heslin serves as a coach for a mock trial program at Coxsackie-Athens High School. The team successfully competes in a regional competition sponsored by the New York State Bar Association. A skilled litigator, Ms. Heslin is very active in the representation of neglected and abused children and victims of domestic violence in various court settings. In recognition of her contributions to the legal field, she was presented with the Pro Bono Service Award by the New York State Bar Association in 2007 and was a candidate for the Greene County Judgeship in 2005.

Ms. Heslin earned her JD from Saint John's University in 1982 and a bachelor of arts in political science, with a minor in physics, from Stony Brook University in 1976. She is the former president of the Greene County Bar Association, an examiner of guardian accounts for the Third Judicial Department, and a twenty-year veteran of Greene County's Law Guardian Panel. She also serves as assigned counsel in criminal and fiduciary matters in a variety of court settings.
