/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Evan C. Barrett, Financial and Insurance Advisor for AXA Advisors, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in financial services.
Mr. Barrett, a comprehensive "holistic" financial planner, specializes in retirement planning. "I'm a life advisor who specializes in money," says Barrett. "I teach financial health and practice financial medicine." In 2008, he brought his talents to AXA Advisors, a financial/insurance services firm specializing in wealth protection, asset management and financial planning. He wears two hats - as an associate vice president, he hires and trains new advisors while, as an advisor himself, he performs financial, estate and insurance planning for individuals and businesses. Mr. Barrett is proud to be affiliated with one of the largest financial advisory firms in the world, and considers helping people to be the most rewarding aspect of his work.
Prior to venturing into the financial planning field, Mr. Barrett enjoyed success in an entirely different field; a professional actor and dancer, he performed on Broadway, television, film, and in various commercials. He also managed his own 501(c)3 production company, Pipe Dreams Entertainment, Inc., where he worked alongside new artists as a mentor. He attributes his successful transition into the financial industry - and his assumption of multiple responsibilities therein - to the diversity of his professional background and real-world experience.
Mr. Barrett holds a license in life and health insurance and is certified in Series 7 and 66. Additionally, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Psychology (minor) in 1995 from The Johns Hopkins University. As an undergraduate, he traveled to Prague and Moscow as part of a collegiate USA national baseball team that represented the United States in an international tournament. He is a member of the Johns Hopkins University Second Decade Society, and is the founding father of the Iota Tau Chapter of The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity. Mr. Barrett looks forward to continuing his education, beginning with the two-year Certified Financial Planner program, and the Wharton School Retirement Planning Specialist program. He would also like to expand his practice and share his knowledge as a mentor to new hires.
