CALGARY, AB, October 30, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Evans Consoles, the Calgary based manufacturer of custom designed consoles for 24/7 mission-critical control room applications, recently announced the release of SnapDesign II software. SnapDesign II provides a single, seamless, experience from the initial control room design drafts to the final control room solution.

SnapDesign II is featured in this month's edition of Plant, a Canadian industry newspaper, alongside innovations by Boeing and Empire Dynamic Structures Ltd.. The article by Luigi Benetton, entitled "3D digital modelling drives design innovation" highlights how 3D modelling fits into production and product lifecycle management of products in modern industry. Matko Papic, manager of engineering and product development, discusses how SnapDesign II helps the Evans Consoles sales team create full proposal packages for their customers. The article further explains how the software interfaces with ERP applications and shortens the sales cycle for low customization projects by allowing projects to go directly to the shop floor.

Evans Consoles is currently holding training sessions around the world for SnapDesign II. The first training session is in Dubai in November for Evans' Middle East Dealers. More training dates are being added as interest in software is expanding.
