    /24-7PressRelease/ - OXFORD, UK, August 15, 2006 - Despite being obliged to provide accessible websites, a survey has found that some local authority sites still suffer from usability problems.

Research conducted by a panel of disabled users discovered that while some local authority sites were sufficiently equipped to help blind and partially sighted users conduct basic jobs, such as find the council's phone number and report an abandoned car, none were free of problems.

While the panel could do both on seven of the 20 sites investigated, the best sites had three reported problems, while the worst saw nineteen issues.
