NEW YORK, NY, October 17, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The New Sun is launching an audio platform called Talkettes with the help of crowdfunding at Indiegogo.com.
Talkettes will enable users to record short soundbites that everyone can embed, anywhere.
Each person has a limit of 15 seconds to talk. Instead of "micro-blogging," it's "micro-voicing."
To make a sample Talkette, anyone can give it a try at The New Sun (www.newsun.com). Whoever makes the best Talkette recording will win two free tickets to see Rod Stewart at Madison Square Garden in New York (Rod has a great voice!).
The Indiegogo campaign will raise funds to complete development of Talkettes. Perks include an autographed Jewel of the Nile movie script from Michael Douglas, an autographed script of Governor Mario Cuomo's famous keynote address at the 1984 Democratic Convention, free advertising in The New Sun, and membership in the "Founders Club."
After saving each recording, a small Talkette symbol will be generated, which can then be spread like gold dust for all to hear.
By clicking on the symbol, each quick voice can be heard. Perhaps sharing news of great work, helpful information, deep thoughts, good jokes, a differing point of view, encouraging words, new products, or anything at all.
Users will be able to create a profile page to store all their Talkettes in one place - so it's like a little recording studio and radio station. One can build listeners and listen to the voice of others.
The crowdfunding campaign runs through November 13, 2013 and can be found here:
All are invited to pledge and/or spread the word.
The New Sun is an online publication whose mission is "To find the best in life and give it good coverage." People magazine said, "It has caught the eye of high-placed optimists."
