HENDERSON, NV, March 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Excel Software is pleased to announce AirLicense 1.0 to protect Adobe Air applications running on Mac or Windows computers. AirLicense is a software development kit (SDK), that includes an ActionScript source code file and other components that a developer can drop into an Air development project to interface with the QuickLicense protection and licensing system.

An Air application is a mix between an Internet based application and a traditional desktop application. The application gets installed or uninstalled on a computer like a desktop application, but executes within a controlled runtime environment.

The security model built around an Air application makes it somewhat difficult to execute and communicate with external applications. AirLicense provides an ActionScript function interface to the QuickLicense runtime executable with a few drop in components. As an added benefit, Air developers now have full access to local computer resources by allowing external executables to be run with one ActionScript command.

QuickLicense is part of a family of tools for software protection, license management and automated activation of software and documents running on Mac or Window computers. These tools support computer specific manual or online activation, time or execution limited Trial licenses, software subscriptions, floating licenses, plugin protection, secure license portability, business system integration and extensive vendor customization.

AirLicense was designed to drop into an Air development project and work with existing Air development tools. Since the QuickLicense runtime interface is delivered as an ActionScript code file, it can be customized and adapted if needed. The protected application minimizes changes to the developer and user experience by using the standard Adobe Air application installer.

AirLicense 1.0 is $295 for a Single User License on either Windows (XP, Vista or 7 with 32 or 64 bit processor) or Mac OS X. It can be used in conjunction with QuickLicense 5.0.2 Standard or Pro edition. The product includes a PDF User Guide and royalty-free distribution rights for any number of protected applications and distributed licenses. Visit the company web site for demonstration videos, detailed product information and secure online ordering of Excel Softwareês protection and license management tools.
