Bob Miller, President and CEO, stated that the company had evaluated several options inside and outside of Ohio. The decision process took into account three primary factors: the assets of the area, the area's future potential and economics. "Ultimately we feel good about our evaluation process and our decision to remain in Dayton," Miller stated.
EIM's experience in Dayton has been a positive one. Miller cited supportive encounters with a number of strategic Dayton organizations and leaders, specifically mentioning Sandy Gudorf and Ron Budzik with The Downtown Dayton Partnership, Shelly Dickstein and Amy Walbridge with the Office of Economic Development, and Jim Leftwich with the Dayton Development Coalition. Miller elaborated, "There is no question this region faces significant challenges but we believe the fundamental foundation exists to succeed. The city of Dayton has been working closely with EIM during this evaluation process and recognized that EIM will have a significant economic impact to the region. EIM estimates that over the coming years it will invest millions of dollars in the Dayton economy in the way of potential acquisitions, new product development, software development, leasehold improvements, equipment purchases and staffing. In addition, according to Miller "Our relationships with local vendors, such as banks, graphics houses, printing companies and design firms also contribute to the Dayton economy. In fact, we've had a strong tie to one of Dayton's core strengths - its creative community -- and have served as a conduit in connecting these vendors with our Fortune 1000 clients.
