PHILADELPHIA, PA, February 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In celebration of Women's History Month, the Independence Visitor Center will host a women's history scavenger hunt during the month of March. Centered on ten women who were born, raised, visited or lived in Philadelphia and the surrounding area, this scavenger hunt is aimed to open visitors' eyes to the rich history and impact women have made in the Philadelphia region. This is a fun learning experience for the whole family!

In order to succeed in this scavenger hunt, participants must solve clues and take a picture of the answer. Participants can either pick up clues at the Independence Visitor Center or they can download them at http://www.IndependenceVisitorCenter.com/WomensHistory. Participants can submit answers by e-mailing their pictures to WomensHistory@IndpendenceVisitorCenter.com or mail (Attn: IVCC Women's History Scavenger Hunt, 1 North Independence Mall West, Philadelphia, PA 19106). Submissions must be turned in by March 31.

Make sure to start every trip at the Independence Visitor Center, the number one destination to find out about women's history month events in Philadelphia and the surrounding region. This is just one of many ways that Independence Visitor Center is inviting tourists and locals to experience a piece of Philadelphia. Guests are encouraged to step inside the Visitor Center to learn even more about all there is to do in the city and region.

The event is free of charge and open to the public. For more information, visit http://www.IndependenceVisitorCenter.com.
