RICHARDSON, TX, June 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- IN-COM Data Systems announces a major new feature included in the technical release of their Software Intelligence Tool Suite - version 7.6 which has just been introduced.

The new version of SMART TS XL introduces a suite of connectors. A connector is an automatable utility which specializes in connecting and extracting data from a specific source. Depending on the source system, a connector can also extract security information relating to each data element, allowing SMART TS XL to enforce appropriate user access rights (Exchange, SharePoint and Source Control Systems).

IN-COM's Software Intelligence tool now includes a Database connector which can be used to connect to databases in order to extract the data and schema. The connector supports databases such as MS SQL, IBM DB2, Teradata and Oracle. The connector can extract database schema information of tables, views, stored procedures, user defined data-types and aggregate functions. It also extracts data from tables along with linking related tables.

The Exchange connector can be used to connect to a Microsoft Exchange Mail server to extract all items in any user's box. The connector supports the extraction of emails, attachments, appointments, tasks, notes, contacts, journals and RSS Feeds.

The SharePoint connector is used to connect to a Microsoft SharePoint server in order to extract desired documents and information. The connector supports extracting all types of documents, file attachments and SharePoint items such as announcements, calendar events, issues, team discussions, tasks and links. The connector uses Microsoft SharePoint web services to retain all SharePoint lists and items.

The Source Control connector is used to connect to one of many source control servers in order to extract source code from the database server onto a file system. The source controls that the connector supports are - StarTeam, Visual Source Safe, Team Foundation Server, and Subversion. The tool also allows replication of user mapping from the source to file system.

The new SAP connector connects to SAP Dreamweaver to extract all system and user source code, table schemas and transactions.

Shlomo Friman, CEO of IN-COM Data Systems, states the addition of the connectors is a major enhancement making the Software Intelligence tool even easier to use.
