EY Announces Leadership Promotions in Portland

    PORTLAND, OR, July 11, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ernst & Young LLP recently announced the promotions of three professionals, Renae Davis, Brian Day and Erik Oliverson, based in its Portland, Oregon office.

Doubleday noted that promotions to these leadership positions involve a rigorous selection process that recognizes each person's achievements and potential. Renae Davis was promoted to partner from senior manager. With more than 19 years of experience, Davis joined EY in 2006 and is a member of Ernst & Young LLP's tax practice. She assists clients in establishing or refining their research tax credit processes to support their research credit claims. In addition, she advises clients regarding accounting methods and in analyzing the application of Section 199 domestic manufacturing deductions. Davis' clients range from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies in the high tech, manufacturing, utilities and retail industries. Active in the Portland community, she serves as Treasurer of Third Rail Repertory Theatre and a Volunteer reader for SMART (Start Making a Reader Today). Davis has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Oregon State University and earned a Master of Business Administration from Portland State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Oregon, and a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Brian Day was promoted to executive director from senior manager. A member of the firm's Assurance practice, Day began his career in 2002, in the firm's Seattle office, and joined the Portland office in 2003. During his 14 years with the firm he has served a broad range of clients ranging from technology, manufacturing, health care, diversified products, and the power and utilities industry, helping them to identify and to analyze accounting developments relevant to their business objectives and risks. He collaborates, plans and monitors engagements ranging from pre-revenue small emerging growth companies to billion dollar, multinational corporations. Day has a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of Oregon. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Oregon, and a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. Day is actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America as an assistant scout master and participates on a local Boy Scout committee in Portland.

Erik Oliverson was promoted to executive director from senior manager. He joined the firm's Tax practice in 2013, and has over 15 years of experience in International Tax. Oliverson has served clients in a variety of industries including high-tech, consumer products, chemical, services, and manufacturing, working with multinational corporations on international tax issues, including operating model effectiveness, structuring foreign operations, earnings repatriation, cross-border financing, foreign tax credit planning, foreign country tax reduction, and mergers and acquisitions. Oliverson is on the Ambassador Board of the Children's Cancer Association. A Certified Public Accountant, he is licensed to practice in Wisconsin, Illinois and Oregon. He received his bachelor of arts in Accounting from Marquette University and is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and IFA.
