Fall Enrollment Now Open at Delphian School in Oregon

    SHERIDAN, OR, August 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Imagine you're back in elementary, middle or high school and every day you either arrive (if you're a local day student) or wake up to panoramic views that stretch from Mt. Hood to the coastal foothills of Oregon.

There is a school like that. It's called the Delphian School, and it is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley, fifty miles southwest of Portland. They are thirty minutes west of Oregon's capital city of Salem and a forty-five minute drive from the scenic Oregon coast, and they have a few spaces left for their fall term.

"Even though we're seeing record enrollments this fall term, we do still have limited spaces available for qualified students in our Lower, Elementary (day students only) as well as our Middle and Upper School programs (day and a few boarding spots)," says Delphian's Director of Admissions, Thomas Keough.

Interested families are encouraged to schedule a visit and tour the school's beautiful campus. School tours can be scheduled any weekday when the school is in session or by appointment. This timing allows visitors to observe classroom activity as well as tour the campus.

Keough says Delphian offers financial aid and scholarships based on need and availability. These are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year Delphian awarded $1,476,162 in aid and scholarships for the 2014-15 school year.

Delphian's rolling enrollment process also permits students to transfer into the school after the school year has already begun. The competency-based curriculum eases the transition so no student feels like they have to play "catch-up" to their peers.

The emphasis on individual attention at an independent private school allows students to flourish at their own pace. Many parents have noted this as a key component to their children's academic success. When asked about her daughters' experience at Delphian School, parent Stephanie C., of Austin, TX said, "Incredible school. The program is tailored to each student and their own interests and career choice. Students are able to move at their own pace and do a lot of independent study."
