Family Promise Partners with Colorado Council of Churches

Relationship focused on homelessness and community concerns

DENVER, CO, September 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Family Promise of Greater Denver is now a Covenanting Affiliated Partner of the Colorado Council of Churches (CCC), an organization focused on social justice in our community.

The CCC is comprised of 12 denominations inclusive of 22 congregations that work to address issues such as poverty, hunger, environmental change, criminal justice and interfaith relations.

"The Colorado Council of Churches is doing incredible work in our community," said Allie Card, executive director of Family Promise. "The CCC partners with faith communities to create change, and we do the same to provide emergency shelter to an average of 70 families every year. Our missions are closely aligned, and we're thrilled to connect with the council's faith communities."

"We are very excited that Family Promise is now a part of the Colorado Council of Churches," said Adrian Miller, executive director of the CCC. "We look forward to collaborating with the organization and building upon its great work to address homelessness in our community."
