Malabar Farm State Park opens its doors to visitors Dec. 1-2 with its "Holidays Around the World and Back Home to Malabar" celebration. Visitors will be greeted in Malabar Farm's welcome center and gift shop, then escorted by horse-drawn wagon to the Big House, where carolers will share favorite holiday melodies accompanied by a beautiful Steinway grand. Guests will be transported back in time as they discover how two Hollywood treasures, Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, were married in that very spot. Next, guests will learn about holiday traditions from exotic countries of Bromfield's travels. Lastly, families will gather for a buffet of savory and sweet appetizers, desserts and drinks from around the world.

Visitors to Mansfield can travel through a holiday festival of lights at Richland County Fairgrounds' Christmas Wunderland drive through, Nov. 30- Dec. 25. Cost is $6/car, $17/minivan or small bus and $60/tour bus. The stunning mansion and grounds of Kingwood are fully decked in holiday spirit, lights and sparkle for "Christmas at Kingwood Center: A Kaleidoscope of Holiday Colors," which opens Nov. 24 and runs through Dec. 30 (closed Dec. 7 and 25).
