NEW YORK, NY, March 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Teens interested in a career in fashion no longer have to live near the New York metropolitan area to get "up close and personal" with a high-fashion higher-up! Fashion Camp NYC, the 3-year old brainchild of Coach Sr. VP Fran Della Badia and her husband Gordon Josey, a successful summer camp owner, is offering those thousands of trend-minded teens an opportunity to "meet" and talk in real time during its first-ever FashiOnline webinar, "A Fashionable Foot in the Door: Breaking into the Biz Big-Time," featuring as its guest speaker, publicity director for Teen Vogue and Style.com, Eleanor Banco. Interested teens and tweens can "attend" the event via their own home computers live from New York City Tuesday, April 13 6:00 - 7:30 pm (EST).

Fashion Camp NYC created the webinar as a natural extension of what the weeklong summer camp does best: providing real fashion world experience to over 300 campers from all over the U.S. and as far away as Argentina, Spain, Cyprus, and Australia. Days are spent with industry professionals learning the business and visiting all the "hot spots" in the fashion capital of the country, New York City.

To that end, during the FashiOnline webinar, Ms. Banco, who prior to joining Conde Nast worked at the New York luxury public relations firm, Paul Wilmot Communications, and who currently serves on boards and committees of various fashion and civic minded charities such as The American Friends of the Louvre, The Whitney Museum, Art of Elysium, and the American Museum of Natural History, will give insider tips to planning, pursuing and procuring a job in fashion. The casual "Ask the Expert" format will present information but also enable participants to get all their questions answered, right from the comfort of their own homes.

"Our teen and tween audience craves instant information, making the webinar format a perfect fit," says Fashion Camp NYC director Gordon Josey. Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions in advance which Ms. Banco will answer during her presentation. Online handouts will be made available to those who cannot participate or who need more and the webinar will be available for view 'On Demand' shortly after the live feed.

"A Fashionable Foot in the Door: Breaking into the Biz Big-Time" is FREE and is just the first of more fresh fashion webinars coming this spring. More information and registration details can be found at http://www.fashioncampnyc.com.
