/24-7PressRelease/ -- Fields of Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to building schools and lives in Africa, is close to opening the doors of the Joan Jordan Primary School to the children of Buyala, Uganda.
"I am overwhelmed at the response we have received," announced Nick Jordan co-founder of Wells of Life. "We have collected $143,650 for the Joan Jordan Primary School and that is just amazing."
Enough money has been raised and sent to help build the school, water well and teacher's quarters. The tremendous speed of construction has been apparent throughout the building process, taking less than a year.
The Joan Jordan Primary School will house 444 students and 11 teachers. The school will be headed by Pastor/Director, Edward Ochimi and the head teacher is Paul Akise. The Joan Jordan Primary School is the 4th school Fields of Life has built. The school is a memorial to Nick Jordan's late sister, Joan who passed away from brain cancer.
"My sister's legacy has found a beautiful resting place in this school that bears her name," said Nick Jordan. "I will always know where to find her and know that her indomitable spirit watches all who are fortunate to attend this beautiful oasis of learning. On behalf of Joan's family, know that we are deeply thankful for the wonderful gift."
