The open channel construction of 3M HAF filters offers low initial airflow resistance, while their unique microstructure and electrostatic charge provides effective particle capture and retention. The use of these filters may reduce the buildup of dust in home entertainment and computer cabinetry. When used to filter air entering video projector enclosures, they may increase the effective life of the projector's internal filters. The potential problem of a clogged filter severely restricting airflow is reduced.
Filter holders for use with medium to large size cabinets, equipment closets, and enclosed video projectors will be available in a utility version in white painted metal. A second version will be available in several species of wood, suitable for staining or painting. Both are intended for use with ATM's System 1 cooling product.
Both versions are designed for ease of media cleaning and replacement. The HAF filter media can be cleaned by vacuuming, with replacement recommended after 1 cleaning. Replacement media will be available through Active Thermal Management's network of dealers and distributors.
Available early December, MSRP for filters in metal and wood frames will be $100.00 to $175.00.
