Fitness On Demand Unveils 4th Generation Kiosk at IHRSA 2015

Fitness On Demand announced plans to unveil its latest virtual group fitness kiosk at the International Health Racquet and Sports Association trade show on March 12th in Los Angeles, California.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, February 27, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Today Fitness On Demand announced plans to unveil its latest virtual kiosk at the International Health Racquet and Sports Association trade show on March 12th in Los Angeles, California, exposing some of the biggest advancements in virtual fitness technology.

Like its predecessors, this new kiosk includes over 1000 fitness videos that can be accessed on-demand or pre-scheduled by facility administrators. Now standard FOD features,-as well as many new features- can be found in a much smaller form factor, weighing a total of only 11 pounds.

One such enhancement is the newly designed Schedule Viewer. This app, which serves as a digital "class calendar" allows participants to review, research, rate, RSVP, and watch samples of future events-both virtual classes and classes led by "live" instructors.

Features like these are accessible to fitness goers anytime and welcomed by a bright LED wide-aspect screen featuring multi-touch acoustic wave technology for blazing fast responsiveness. The kiosk provokes almost a natural desire to touch and FOD has engineered with this in mind incorporating edge-to-edge glass making this unit exceptionally easy to clean and maintain.

"Fitness operators have to be cautious when investing in technology that will be installed on the gym floor," says Garrett Marshall, a Director at FOD. "The perfect POI/POS (point-of-information/point-of-sale) system should augment your architecture/design while being retail-hardened enough to provide the longevity you expect."

Pricing & Availability
The 4th Generation kiosk comes in black, with only a small space age gray play button emblazoned on the front. 1TB models will be available for a suggested retail price of $2,495USD (or at no charge with a 4-year service agreement*). The 1TB model will be available initially in US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, UK, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil beginning on March 1st, 2015. Buyers can pre-order beginning February 27, 2015.
