PeltThePundits.com Director of Marketing, Dave Macy, says he doesn't understand what the big deal is about a caricature 'breaking wind'. "It's supposed to be a satirical game that lets voters decide by tossing tomatoes instead of casting votes," says Macy. "But the bottom line is that Obama lovers need to either lighten up or light a match."
The internet game makes fun of everyone including Hillary Clinton as the 'only candidate with hot flashes' and McCain calling the player a 'little jerk'. The object is to pelt the pundits and politicians with tomatoes by playing as either a Democrat or a Republican. So far, the Democrats have trailed the GOP, but in the last couple of weeks the surge is definitely in favor of the Democrats with the most popular target being Hillary. Other top targets for tomato tossers include Rush Limbaugh, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hannity and Colmes, and many others.
"Obama supporters are offended at anything they perceive as negative about their candidate. When we made the game I couldn't find anything in any of Obama's speeches worth satirizing, so we opted for some political 'hot air', just from the other end. While we haven't had any death threats we have fielded calls from as far away as California and Oregon and some of the comments are not the kind you'd want to repeat to your mother," says Macy.
