KYRGYZSTAN, KYRGYZ REPUBLIC, November 04, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In July of 2009 the Kyrgyz Worsted Woollens Factory (KWWF) and Flexi Communications integrated communications agency made a strategic marketing consulting agreement. The main objective was to create and introduce the marketing function at the factory. The scope of tasks included restyling of KWWF corporate identity.
As explained by Ainura Koshoeva, the consulting project manager, the factory had a trademark logo that contained no marketing message and was being interpreted in various ways, which adversely affected factory image. Since the company initiated a new stage of development looking to reconsider the marketing strategy and search for international partners, KWWF management made a decision to change the logo and develop corporate identity for the enterprise.
- When developing their corporate identity, many Kyrgyz companies look up to their colleagues from the West, trying to conform to their standards. We, on the contrary, based our thinking on the concept that KWWF represents one of the leading manufacturers in the region. Our goal was to convey this, along with its uniqueness, via visual characteristics, including the logo. However, no cut-and-dry cliche traditional ornaments were considered; the image contained only subtle national tones, - commented Ainura.
Out of three logo options offered KWWF management chose the logo representing the letter "K" in a circle. "K" is associated both with the name of the company and our country. The circle has a resemblance to tunduk symbolizing the hearth and at the same time represents eternity indicating out intentions for long-term existence and development. Burgundy shade is the color of leadership, courage and willingness to change.
The new corporate identity was revealed at TEXTILLEGPROM, the 33rd Federal trade fair for textile and light industry goods and equipment that was held in Moscow in late September, where it received favorable reviews of visitors and participants.

Open joint stock company "Kyrgyz Worsted Woollens Factory" is a large manufacturer of pure wool mixed wool and worsted woolen fabrics, yarn, throws and blankets in Central Asia. The factory was founded in 1963 as a full cycle manufacture from scoured wool to finished fabrics; the enterprise was privatized in 1992. Capacity of the factory is 24 thousand spinning spindles and 3.0 million running meters of wool fabrics. The factory employs 800 people.
