HOUSTON, TX, July 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The unique project involved the design and installation of continuous FlexRail Halo Fall Arrest Systems to provide a safe work environment for the F-22 maintenance technicians. This innovative fall arrest system conforms to the silhouette of the F-22 Air Superiority Fighter in a continuous closed loop path providing safe access to the fuselage and wings without having to disconnect and transfer between systems. The FlexRail Fall Arrest System in this configuration is perfectly suited to the new stealthy aircraft where the traditional fuselage and wings blend into a single elevated work surface. The enclosed track design of the FlexRail Fall Arrest System prevents dust and debris build-up thereby reducing FOD concerns in the hangar.

"This project showcased our ability to mitigate complicated fall hazards with an extremely accelerated delivery schedule using our in-house design, fabrication and installation capabilities. These types of projects are tailor-made for our turnkey business model and differentiate FLS from the competition. Flexible Lifeline Systems' ability to fast track the design-build process with respect to fall arrest systems is unmatched in the industry," said Andy Townend, President of Flexible Lifeline Systems. "We are especially proud to be able to provide such a unique and innovative system to protect our service men and women maintaining the most outstanding fighter aircraft ever built."

"Flexible Lifeline Systems worked very hard to meet the completion date," said Michael Clayburg, Superintendent of BlueScope Construction. "I really couldn't be happier with their performance."
