TULARE, CA, November 23, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Florence Baum Kabot, Music Resource Specialist for the Tulare City School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of musical education.

With 37 years of professional experience, Ms. Kabot prides herself on creative lesson planning. She is responsible for teaching second- through fourth-grade students the fundamentals of music and how it is composed and conducted, preparing children for instrument lessons and taking children to concerts. The inspiration she received from her piano teacher motivated her to become involved in her profession. A recipient of the California Teacher of the Year Award, she attributes her success to her love for children and her passion for music.

Ms. Kabot received her Master of Education in Educational Administration from California State University, Bakersfield in 1991. She serves as president of the Tulare County Symphony Association and is a member of the California Association for Music Education, the California Teachers Association, the Tulare City Teachers Association and the National Association of Music Educators. In her spare time, she volunteers for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She is currently, and continues to be a consultant and train new teachers.
