FOLSOM, CA, September 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Local fitness and weight loss expert and owner of Superwomen Boot Camp, Val Fujii, has helped many clients achieve their health and fitness goals. Today, he wants to make aware the fact that losing weight is not only a physical challenge but a mental challenge as well.

There has been a lot of recent controversy surrounding a personal trainer, Paul James, who packed on 90 pounds in an effort to get inside the heads of his overweight clients. "I admire his out of the box thinking, however, his stunt to understand and literally put himself in his obese client's shoes is absolutely unnecessary. He is creating more of a mental challenge for himself, rather than a physical challenge, and this could cause even more unwanted strain on his body," Fujii says. Fujii goes on further to point out that because of the weight gain, James avoided socializing, he was embarrassed to go out in public, and he would sleep more frequently. "These are all clearly signs of the onset of depression."

"As personal trainers and fitness experts we need to realize that we have to be part of the solution...not part of the problem," Fujii claims. "We need to set examples and support our clients in helping them to achieve their fitness and health goals, and a big part of that is motivation, to keep them on track mentally in order to reach those goals."

All of you women out there who are looking to find the right combination of a fun, motivating and supportive workout environment, come on out to Superwomen Boot Camp. Sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at three convenient times—6 a.m., 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Spots fill up fast, so don't miss out. You'll wonder why you didn't start sooner!
