Food Hygiene: Train all your staff for less than fifty pounds

CIRENCESTER, UK, April 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Food Hygiene legislation states that all those involved in the preparation and handling of food must be adequately trained. Whilst training can be completed 'on the job' or with a classroom course, many kitchens find it difficult to devote time and resources to this.

Learn HQ's solution is to provide a computer-based training course (eLearning) which enables employers to train their staff quickly, efficiently and cost effectively. The new version of this course includes more visual content, a higher level of interactivity, and a video demonstration. As with previous versions, the course and assessment can be completed within an hour, either inside or outside of the workplace.

'Food Hygiene: The Basics' continues to be licensed on a per-site basis, so all staff can be trained for one fixed cost. Newly appointed staff can also complete the course, prior to commencing employment if required. There has been no price increase over the previous version, so the site license is still available for GBP49.99.

A number of staffing agencies have taken up this course with a view to providing businesses with pre-qualified staff, as the course has a test and certificate available upon completion. It is widely used in the education, leisure and hospitality industries.

Learn HQ Ltd Managing Director Paul Hurrell stated: "At Learn HQ, we understand the legal responsibilities that come with preparing and handling food. Providing the necessary training is often costly and time consuming, and with margins becoming ever tighter, this can mean the difference between success and failure.

"A 'Food Hygiene: The Basics' site license offers unlimited training for a single purchase of less than fifty pounds. In an industry where staff turnover can be high, this represents an exceptional investment. Owners and managers can provide training to staff, without losing focus on the daily running of their business. Finally, the completion certificates provide visible proof to customers, health officers and auditors that food hygiene is taken extremely seriously."

A 'Food Hygiene: The Basics' site license is available for GBP49.99 as a download or on CD-ROM. The price includes postage and packaging (where applicable) and VAT. A free upgrade is available to all existing customers who have purchased previous editions of 'Food Hygiene: The Basics' from Learn HQ.

Multiple site licenses are also available, and the course can be modified to meet customer requirements.
