/24-7PressRelease/ - LONDON, UK, June 18, 2006 - Majority if UK residents are comfortable with the debts they owe, according to new survey. Credit history company MyCallCredit have discovered that nine out of ten people have no qualms about their level of debts and one in five was intending to lessen their debts over next few years. The study also reveals that young people were not bothered about their financial situation; part time workers are more concerned about debt problems.
According to a new survey, majority of people in UK are not concerned about the amount of debt they have borrowed. MyCallCredit , a credit firm revealed that nine out of ten people are relieved with their amount of debts and one in five were finding ways to minimise their borrowings over the coming years. Nevertheless, the study also revealed that young people are not much concerned whereas, part time workers appeared more committed. Alison Nicholson,
MyCallDirect's director said that debt became problem only when they were unable to manage their repayments but majority of people have the capacity to manage it. She continued that some people expected their situation to get worse; one in four people between 16 and 24, one in seven people who are jobless expect their earnings to be spent on unsecured debt repayments within a year's time. She further added that people should be spending less than one fourth of their income for attaining unsecured debt problems and she urged lending industry to work in consumer's interest.
